DS Facility Upgrade HVAC System in Monoshell & Tunnel Area

ALCOA Howmet Castings Facility in Dover, New Jersey manufactures various components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries and other non-traditional castings using the investment casting technology.

In the D.S. Facility, a mold is made by making pattern using wax for casting. The existing HVAC system serving the Monoshell Dipping and the Tunnel areas were not able to maintain the required temperature and humidity. This affected the quality of mold and end product.

A&J Consulting performed engineering evaluation of the existing facility and discovered that existing system was not adequate to maintain required temperature and humidity. A&J designed Upgrade of existing HVAC systems serving the Monoshell Dipping and the Dry-box Tunnel areas in the D.S. Facility.
