LEED GOLD - Renovation of 75,000sf office space with new Data Center.
The project included interior renovation and build out to the LEED Gold Level of three story, 75,000sf office space with a new Data Center. Mechanical design included reuse of existing self contained water cooled AC Units. Air Distribution System is variable air volume (VAV) type with a combination of VAV Units and Thermal VAV type diffusers. Thermal VAV diffuser is an economical alternate solution to provide individual controls for small offices. Plumbing design included renovation of bathrooms on each floor to reduce the annual water consumption and help achieve LEED Gold Level certification. Plumbing renovation contributed to total 12 LEED Points. Fire Protection design included relocation of wet sprinkler heads. Electrical design included new power, voice and data design. New lighting system was designed to reduce Lighting Power Density (LPD) below ASHRAE 90.1 and achieve 30% reduction in LPD. Lighting Control System was designed to have advance lighting control.
A&J was involved with Commissioning Engineer in Enhanced Commissioning efforts to update Basis of Design, update commissioning plan, review of commissioning specifications and commissioning check list. A&J reviewed commissioning issue log and provided comments.
