The project involves the full renovation of an existing 58,000 SF Science Lab Building and the addition of 18,000 SF New Science Lab and Academic Facilities. The project is designed to achieve LEED Silver.

The building is a full MEP renovation which is complex due to the existing building connections to the new addition.

A&J's focus was the plumbing design for the work. After learning the SUNY design guidelines and passing the SUCF design reviews, we have completed the design for a new RO/DI Water System, Compressed Air, Vacuum piping, Nitrogen gas piping, Carbon Dioxide gas piping, Natural Gas piping, Sanitary and Vent piping, Domestic Hot Water and Cold Water distribution, Storm water piping, Acid/Waste neutralization piping and pit, Sprinkler Design, and emergency safety equipment (eye wash and showers).
