Electrical Upgrade for John Jay Residence Hall

As John Jay Residence Hall has adapted over the years, Columbia University recognized the need to upgrade the Electrical Service. A new health center was re-located to the Residence Hall to provide better student service.

In addition, the occupant electrical density has increased since the original 1950 electrical service. We designed the appropriate electrical service and increased the capacity from 3000A to 4000A at 120/208 V. In addition, we coordinated with the local utility for connection ConEd.
