Peddie School Renovation
A&J Consulting Engineering Services P.C. designed the MEP systems for this project, recipient of New Jersey Business Industry’s (NJBIA) - A Good Neighbor Award in June 2005.

Peddie School building on 120 Main Street, built in 1929 was a two story commercial building with basement in the center of downtown Hightstown, NJ. Building had store in front and an abandoned theater in rear half.

This 14,000 gross square foot building was renovated to create new tenant spaces suitable for retail & office use. As part of this renovation, the building & MEP systems were upgraded to make it code compliant.

The MEP design included HVAC System, Electrical distribution, fire protection & plumbing systems. The building had no tenants hence, it was to be designed with flexibility to accommodate different tenants, without making a major change in either the building or the MEP system servicing the building. This design challenge was successfully accomplished by the design team at A&J.
